High school orientation has been rescheduled for March 13th at 6pm in the High School Gym. We will go over graduation requirements and schedule options. The registration books have been sent home with your student, but you can access it online as well.

Good evening, HMS Families. We have a busy week coming up, so I wanted to send out a few reminders:
-Tickets for the Winter Formal (Theme: Masquerade Ball) will go on sale tomorrow. Students can purchase tickets at break, or parents/guardians may stop by the office to prepay. The dance will be on Friday, March 7, 6pm-8pm. Please remember, the dance is for HMS students only. Other guidelines can be found here: https://bit.ly/HMSwintersocial
-Monday & Tuesday (Feb 24-25), we will be taking an ACAP Practice. Please know that students will be mock testing until approximately 11:30 and should not check in or out during this time.
-The Snake Show has been rescheduled for March 5th. Admission is $3, and students will pay that morning.
The High School Orientation Parent Meeting scheduled for tomorrow (Feb. 19th) has been postponed due to weather. We will send another message as soon as we have a new date. Thank you!
HMS Junior Civitan club has started a donation drive to raise funds to purchase new 3'x5' American flags for each classroom. Our goal is to raise $1,000. The homeroom that raises the most donations gets a prize. If anyone would like to donate you may stop by the HMS office or call 256-352-6175 for details.
This service project is the idea of 8th grader Bradley Hill. Bradley saw a need for a new flag in one of his teacher's classrooms and wanted to do this for all of HMS.
REMINDER: Tomorrow, Feb. 18th, HHS Football will be having a parent meeting for all rising 7th-12th grade students at 6pm in the HHS Meeting Room. Parents and players can enter through the front of the High School. Anyone interested in joining the football program or is already involved with the football program for the 2025 season needs to be in attendance with a parent.

Feb. 18th HHS Football will be having a parent meeting for all rising 7th-12th grade students. Anyone interested in joining the football program or is already involved with the football program for the 2025 season needs to be in attendance with a parent. The meeting will start at 6:00 at the Field House or as soon as the first baseball game is finished.

8th Grade Parents - SAVE THE DATE: There will be a Freshman Orientation meeting for parents of current 8th graders on Wednesday Feb. 19th at Hanceville High School. Parents can choose to attend either session. Sessions will begin at 8:00am or 2:30pm. Please plan to attend one of these sessions if at all possible.
