
Hanceville Middle School is the 2025 Cullman County Drone Wars Champions! We’re incredibly proud of all our students who competed in today’s Drone Wars Competition—you represented Cullman County with excellence, teamwork, and skill! A big thank you to Wallace State and their amazing staff for hosting such an exciting event!


Today is Community Day at Hanceville Schools! Stop by from 9-12 to see all the great things we have going on. A few food trucks are on site today too!








We are proud to participate in our first ever Hanceville Schools Community Day! Join us in the Lane Horton Gym tomorrow from 9-12 as we shocwcase all we have to offer at each of our schools. Food trucks will also be on site.


HMS is so thankful for our office staff! We appreciate Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Leusby for all of the endless things they do for all of us daily!



HMS Girls Basketball Tryouts May 6-8!


Fro'z Shaved Ice & Fro'znades will be on campus TOMORROW. All items are $5 and support our HMS Robotics Team.


We will be participating in the state-required ACAP Test for the remainder of the week. Testing days will be Tuesday through Friday. It is very important that every student arrives on time, is well-rested, and avoids checking out. Students should eat a healthy breakfast to help them stay focused. Breakfast will be available in the lunchroom starting at 7:30 each day. Students should arrive by 7:45 and we will begin testing promptly at 8am each day. If you must check a student out, we will be unable to call into rooms until approximately 10:30 each day so please plan accordingly.

Report cards are being sent home today. The 3rd 9 Weeks average can be found under the Q3 column, and the current average for the year can be found under the F1 column (this average will change with every grade entered for the remainder of the year). Students who are in danger of failing a core class were also given a letter with summer school and possible retention information. If you have any questions or concerns about your student's grades, please contact the office.

Reminder to parents/guardians of 8th grade students. There will be a parent meeting concerning high school registration tonight at 6:00 in the HHS gym. We will discuss student schedules and the new Alabama diploma options. Please make plans to attend. This meeting will take no longer than 20-30 minutes. Thanks.
