VHS Spanish classes learned about authentic foods today. Students chose a recipe, prepared it (help was permitted from adults as needed), and then got to taste the foods during class today. We found some new favorites!

The 9th grade Honors Biology class went to Southern Research today in Birmingham. They learned about Cancer diagnosis and how normal cells can become cancerous . They had a fantastic time!

Our honors chemistry classes visited Sloss Furnace today. They learned about the iron industry and history of Birmingham.

Our Forensic classes researched unsolved cases today for Halloween. They researched theories and evidence about the cases and discussed what they think happened.
Honors Chemistry made glow in the dark slime this morning after their stoichiometry test to celebrate Halloween.
